9 RSPB members spring walk at Radipole Lake. 9am – 11am.  Free event. Booking essential Tel: 01305 778313. Without the support of our members we couldn’t carry on with the vital conservation work that we do. This is the first of two walks especially designed for RSPB members.

17-30 Matchstick Fleet – Nothe Fort, Weymouth.  A remarkable exhibition of hundreds of post 1945 warships made entirely from matchsticks and matchboxes.  The models all to scale, are the lifetime work of one man – Philip Warren, who will be present for most of the time.

21-24 Easter Continental Market Weymouth Pavilion Forecourt.

24 Radipole Lake Easter family fun day (RSPB). 10 am-3 pm. Tel: 01305 778313. Cost: Adults free, Children £3 (half price for Wildlife Explorers). Discover the creatures living in the watery world of the lake, pick up a backpack and explore the trails for bugs and so much more

27 Heron hide watch Radipole Lake (RSPB). 5.30 pm – 7.30 pm. Booking essential tel: 01305 778313. Up to 70 little egrets roost at the top end of Radipole lake, we are hoping to see them fly in. The north hide is a good place to watch grey herons hunting, we may even see some snipe flying over.
